Doctor Visit

For the life of me, I couldn't think of a way to photograph breathing without scaring you... or I would have.

I went to the doctor today, I made the appointment last week because the bleep pharmacy wouldn't fill my pills without my going in! Well, I'm glad I had the appointment, it has been a rough [breathing] week. She ordered some breathing meds for my nebulizer,  and she is changing my "rescue" inhaler - it simply does not work. I know this sounds whiny, but try breathing through a heavy pillow for a few days...

The whole ordeal made me so tired, I couldn't stay awake on the way home, and then I took a nap when I got home. I slept a good 3 hours, hard.

I know this sounds harsh, but I wish it would rain tomorrow evening. I know, I know, that would just put off the inevitable, but the dogs get so scared. To think that I used to enjoy the 4th of July!

I hope you do!

  1. I went to a new doctor today. I'm going to go through all that Sleep Apnea stuff I guess. First thing will be a chest exray. I might wish I wouldn't have started it but I'm so tired all time and don't sleep well at night then have to take a long nap in the day. Good luck to you.

  3. Living with a chronic illness is exhausting and even harder when you are having med trouble. I watch my FIL deal with it all the time, COPD. I hope you are feeling recuperated soon.I am the same about the 4th, I dread it because of all my critters!

  4. i truly hope the new meds will work! and i'm glad the pharmacy was tough about it. maybe the best thing...

we've had fireworks around here for the past week. i can't wait until it's over, too. we usually have a few neighbors that buy up the 'close-out' deals and keep shooting them off for a few days after...

  8. Hope you are breathing easier now. Did you know MSM helps our breathing? Often used for arthritis it greatly helps the entire body.

  9. It doesn't sound so much like whining, but exasperation. My Dad has sleep apnea, and the choking and grunting to breathe was terrifying. I am hoping that you will be able to find a good rescue inhaler. I wished we had rain before the 4th, we were lucky, two grass fires (that I know of) in town, quickly put out by passing police. Fortune smiles on us that we live in an area with people who have animals, so are less inclined to do that.
