Monday, again -

No biggies again, well, not for me. DH's car died on the way home from work - not my beloved Buick, but his Sebring Convertible. He talked about just leaving it ... He was just upset, it has 4 nearly new tires on it, and it just needs to be repaired. A part died on it that had gone bad last year. Sigh, it's sitting at a garage down in Alabama.

No Poldark tonight because of the debate. Sigh ... I could have used some excitement. Ha Ha.

There's a nip in the air tonight. I suppose we will be turning that heat on soon. Average date to fire it up is October 7, so we're doing pretty good. I checked on the tomato plant and could smell the crispness, almost like snow. Well, it had to come didn't it? I will have to decide what to do with that plant. One of the buds opened up. I have no clue if a bee will find it or not. Trying to decide what to do - do I just let it dry up or do I hunt for a paint brush and go for the gold? Sigh, such a little problem ...

Problems with reworking Julia  - I start looking and soon I'm reading and forgetting what I'm supposed to be doing. I still think it's a dandy story, I can't help it. At this rate I will never get it done.

Heaven help me, I'm boring!

Have a good week!

  2. Men and cars. Your always going to get trouble for them lol
Tomatoes don't need bees. They are air pollinated so you can bring it inside and hand pollinate
We let our fire go out and Mother Nature had a great laugh. The weather was so windy yesterday we lost power for about 12 hours. So we lit it again today.
But we live in hope xx

  3. We've usually turned our heating off by now - not this year tho'. That Mother Nature Angela wrote about has been a real pain this year teasing us with a nice day here and there and then giving us rain gales and more freezing cold days. Luckily we have gas heating so all it takes is a flick of a switch.
Sign of a good book - one you can't put down but have to keep on reading to the end. Sounds like Julia is a good book :)

  5. NO..you are not boring at all. Sometimes life just doesn't have lots of drama. I think that is a GOOD thing.

It's starting to cool down here in Kansas City as well. I have the heat running this morning just to take the chill out of the house.

    1. We have such a short window of opportunity to NOT have the A/C or Heat running, I am trying to enjoy that.

  7. I turned my heating off when we had a couple of warm/hot days, yesterday turned it back on again and left it on, usually by now I don't need heating or cooling, but this year has been a strange one for weather. Love the pups. Sorry to hear about the car though. Maybe the part that went bad last year should have got replaced sooner? Easy for me to say, I don't own a car with all its attendant expenses.

    1. The part that went was one that should have been made with something that could take the heat - it isn't. I guess it was made to fail.

  8. You're not boring you just live life. Nobody's life is fireworks n' sparklers 24/7. I'd bring your plant in. Sorry about your car issues. Slowly but surely I'm getting all of my repairs addressed. While their still small.
