Not much

Time flying. Not much happening here. I'm trying to work on Julia some more. DH took a couple days off to go to AR for a funeral in the family. He's back home and back to working nights. My days and nights are so messed up. I am a literal rag.
Looks big? In reality is only about a 2.5" leg span. He was on the ceiling the other day.
See? I told you, nothing big happening big around here. Seems I am stuck in Same old Same old here. Maybe that's a good thing.
Have a great weekend!

  1. I hat spiders, but I leave the big daddy alone...usually.

  3. Same old, same old is not a bad spot to be in from time to time. Life gets so busy for me I really cherish those same old moments. :) - Nope. Nope and nope on the spider. I know they're supposed to be "good" spiders but nope. I don't know of ANY "good" spiders.

    1. I'm curious (also barely awake) but, do you know what a "good" spider does?

  4. These spiders seem to like our house. Hard for me to kill them, in fact I never do, just sweep the down. They are lucky I don't see as well as I used to.

    1. I had a small one, it lived under my bathroom scale for the longest. I don't like it when they get big enough that head and teeth are evident.

  5. A daddy-long-legs! I'm always amused by their knees, they appear to have hinges.

    1. I thought the spiders with the big fat body and those legs were the "Daddy Long Legs" - those daddies bite for sure!

    2. Have you been bitten? The daddy-long-legs is one of the most venomous spiders in the world, but harmless because the mouth and fangs are so tiny they cannot penetrate human skin.

    3. River, no, I actually took someone's word for it. I guess I'm real gullible.

  6. Same old is often very welcome in my world. I appreciate the calm.

As for spiders...I don't hate them but I don't allow them to reside in my house. I prefer my house guests to be of the human variety, canine variety, or feline variety. I have a posted sign that says NO ARACHNIDS permitted. With that in mind if I see an occasional transient spider, I scoop him/her up and they are relocated to the great outdoors.

  7. This spider made me wonder... why would I be scared out of my wits if this were a big thick black hairy legged spider .... but since it is skinny and grayish I'm not nearly afraid of it. ?? I do hate spiders of all kinds though... I believe the fear is handed down from past generations. Spiders are not welcomed in my home. Hope you are having a good weekend...

    1. I think our mothers or some family member instilled the fear when we were little. They passed it to us and we passed it on down.

    1. Yep, lots of critters want to come inside. A few nights ago, I had a line up of crickets just waiting for me to open the door!
