I have a doctor's appointment today. I suppose it's about time, but I do avoid them like a plague. I don't know about you, but I am so tired of "Let's try this," only to have worse side effects than the problems. I am a bit cantankerous anymore when they say that. When my mind goes completely, I imagine I will be the old lady that no one wants to take care of in the nursing home. I'm always cold, I believe it it not just poor circulation, I think it's having cold air pumped into my lungs 24/7. I remember when I worked at the nursing home years ago, one particular old lady stole the toilet tissue from others bathrooms and stuffed it under her covers. She walked around complaining, "I'm cold, I'm cold!" I sure hope I don't end up like that.
Sparrow Hall and extension.
I took this last week before the leaves finished falling off. If summer had held on a little longer, I would have had some ripe figs. Sigh, that would really have been pushing it. Not sure if you can see the tiny figs on it or not, would have made a nice bowlful. At least Sparrow hall has been rebuilt by nature and the birds have been enjoying it for quite some time. I'm glad I didn't have DH demolish it completely and fill it in. I do enjoy watching the visitors! (Mostly sparrows, house finches, and cardinals)
I need to get my act together - I really hate going ...
I totally agree. It's like your their own private experiment lab Sometimes I really wonder if they actually know anything and it's really always a hit and miss with them Hope they don't give you too much trouble today.
Ugh. I hate going to the doctor and put it off as long as possible. I agree... most everything has side effects that are just as bad or worse than the problem. Good luck...
I did put it off a good long while. I guess it will be blood tests in three months - oh, joy. I like the new doctor okay. I asked him about Mary Jane in some brownies and he said not to bring him any, ha ha. (You know I wouldn't, but he doesn't know me yet ...)
I'm having a side effect from Chemo right now until I want to cry and it isn't something a person would want to advertise on here. Hope they get you straightened out with your meds.
I am deeply sorry. He's going to want to do blood tests and stuff in 3 months. He could tell I wasn't receptive to doing any of that now while it's getting so cold and people I would come in contact with are getting sick. So I may get straightened out later rather than sooner.
I'd like to be able to help with you always being cold, but I have truly no idea why such a thing happens. I remember being cold-to-the-bone in my early twenties, but that was because I was very thin, running around with three children under four. Once they got a bit older and I relaxed more, I put on a few pounds and was back to normal. Now of course, I've put on another few pounds, okay, a lot of pounds, and I have the opposite problem. Too warm all the time.
LOL, I have plenty of fat to keep me warm, if my blood could make it around. I have poor circulation. (Think they call it PAD) And then there's that cold O2 being pumped into my lungs all the time. I guess being too warm could be a problem too, unless you like to run around in the buff.
As being an in home care giver and taking clients to doctors. I've meant all sort of them and I usual tell them I'm allergic to them. Which gives them a good laugh. But I do go to Dr when necessary. But I set bounds between me and what they will do. As being cold. I wonder if it something genetic. My oldest son who is 28 gets cold easy. I recall him sitting by pool in summer and had quilt around him, like and old man. Anyhow he move to warmer climate and likes the weather above 90.
Hope they get it right this time. I hate having to go to doctors...I love doctors, I just hate having to see them.
ReplyDeleteHe ordered it, I guess we will see if he ordered right when it shows up.

No, it went okay. I think. He wants me to come back in 3 months - thinks that's all the RX he ordered ...

Coffee is on
I think some people are cold natured and some are hot. My son and husband radiate heat, I absorb it.
