So, I came across these butterflies. I set them aside that day, thinking I could use them in a jewelry collage. But, the question is this: What are they? I wouldn't put them in my hair, no one in their right mind puts springs in their hair. Right? The single ones obviously lost their springs. Can anyone tell me what they were for? They are about 3/4" together.
Have a good day.
If you stretch out the springs could you put envelopes in them? They remind me of a desk accessory I have.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I could, but it's awfully small. I don't think it would 'bite' much of it. It is an idea though.
DeleteOkay, maybe it was used to hold business cards. Got to have some function!
DeleteThey are awfully small ...
DeleteYes, they should have some function, I agree.
Hey! Placecard holders at a wedding?
DeleteWow. Good question. I have no idea, but they're awfully pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI figured I should find out their use before I pulled the butterflies off the springs. ;-)
DeleteI was going to say "place card holders", but you said "springs," which sounds like they're meant to hold more than one card.
ReplyDeleteHmm, there is a butterfly on each end, so it could conceivably be a place card holder, looking good from front and back. I will go with your answer, for now.
Deleteoh. I should read all the way down before I chip in, right? (*~*)
DeleteI got nothing.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm at a loss too, cool butterfly's though
ReplyDeleteHave no idea but its interesting to wonder.
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of a wall display I saw once, at a garden centre, where butterflies appeared to be flying. The springs were attached to something but I can't remember what. It must have been a wooden board or something like. It looked good, though, with the butterflies moving about on their springs.
ReplyDeleteThey're very pretty, but I have no idea what they would be used for, except maybe cufflinks. Or a mobile, like Valerie suggests. They're pretty small though.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea.
ReplyDeleteBut they look kind of scary. LOL to be used, as jewelry.
Well look at that...butterflies with BLING! I love it.
