Memories

Years ago, I lived in Montana. The family took the train to Saint Paul to visit family. It was a common thing back then, and people could afford to ride. I was a teen and never thought about it being a problem, I carried my 'stash' of silver dollars along to go shopping. We still used them at home, but the cash registers in St. Paul didn't have a place for them. I wish I had realized that the silver dollar was going to be worth more than a dollar, down the road. I could have used some of that knowledge.

Inflation has really decided to run wild, hasn't it? (Although I must say that silver and gold have not kept up with the toilet paper and bread) There are days when I not only think I live on a different world, I think I am in a different universe.

Just call me "Tired of sticker shock."
(It seems they change prices every month.)

    1. I don't think it ever will. They won't devalue the food as they did our houses.
