I remember when they looked like this, before rheumatoid arthritis crippled my dad and my mother still 'cut up' with us kids. She would take a bath every afternoon, after cooking and cleaning all day, and get dolled up - just waiting for my dad to come home for supper.

ReplyDeleteYou have some on your computer - don't you? Sometimes, it's nice to revisit the faces of loved (and not so loved) ones.
DeleteI have just a few pics of my mom and dad from their first years of marriage...I love to look at them. Both are still with me, but there is such a sweetness to their love captured in the old shots that I am glad to be able to return to again and again.
ReplyDeleteI received this lately - before that I had their wedding photo and little else. Dad's been gone since 1970 and Mom since 1995. It was great 'seeing' them again!
