Gloria with Sookie
That was the day my sister was born. Gone but not forgotten. She would have been 81 today and would have hated it. In my dreams, Gloria is still 54, vibrant and fun. I still miss her.
The UPS fellow didn't show up until nearly 6:30. I was beginning to think he had a wreck and my Poldark books would never show up. I have started the 4th book in the series.

ReplyDeleteYour sister has a lovely face. I'm so glad your books arrived so you can keep reading.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how long it's been. The pain of losing a sibling ever really goes away. I'm glad you books finally arrived. Enjoy them xx
ReplyDeleteAwww... there is nothing like the hurt your heart feels from losing a close sister or a brother. Mine passed almost exactly one year from one another and like you, I remember the younger and more vibrant days. I strongly believe that we will be reunited with them one day and death will be swallowed up in victory. Gloria resembles you in a way... Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying some books. There is nothing like getting lost in a good book or a series of books. Stay cool!!
my her fond memories remain in her heart.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
what a sweet photo. i miss my sis who died at age 47, too. she would have relished each extra day she'd have been given...
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate waiting for someone or something. Seems it takes forever when you are looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteMy brother left too soon and I miss him, but at least he will always be the same age to me.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you have lost your sister. I can only imagine how difficult that is. (((hugs))
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about how elusive memories can be. I can often remember things that happened in my childhood but can't remember where I set my car keys
