DH bought us a new TV. It seems to take up the room. I have no idea what he plans on doing with the plasma set, maybe he will sell it and get it off of the living room floor. One can only hope. It's too heavy for mounting and where would there be wall space for it if he could hang it? The bathroom?
I believe hay fever season is upon us. I sneezed - hard - in succession - the other day and hurt myself. It hurts to breathe in, better today, but still there enough to bug me. Back to the Zyrtec, at least I had a slight reprieve since my cold. Sleeping was difficult for a couple of nights.
Something, wind, cat, ? snapped off the tomato plant. I do give up. I know when I'm licked.
We had a few cooler days and now it's coming in hot and heavy. They say 93 for today, bah. No rain is forecast for a few days. Will be good days for the farmers to get their hay in. The lawn mower is still in the shop, maybe we could get a couple bales from the side yard. Ha Ha.
I hope you all had a great weekend!
That allergy thing is hitting me too.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you and your allergies aren't running for president. Trump pundits have Hillary one foot in the grave.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your marathon recording screw up!Downton Abbey fans are sure loyal and committed. You will find a way to get those early seasons.
Oh, you know I will! :-)
DeleteHope you are having a great evening! Hugs ♥

ReplyDeleteoh, bummer on the recording! my mower needs to go in the shop. shredded a mower deck belt (again) and had to push-mow 3 hours worth of yard this weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, soooo sorry! What a chore!
DeleteI didn't get chance to watch Downton Abbey but I understand Masterpiece will be airing a show on Queen Victoria.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Yes, I guess they will show it sometime in 2017. I'm looking forward to seeing that one too!
DeleteI gave up on watching repeats of Downton Abbey, ordered the DVDs from Amazon instead. At least it puts me in control of my viewing.
ReplyDeleteFound out PBS is having a sale on the series and people can pre-order the series for less than the cost on Amazon - IF they can wait until October.
DeleteSorry to hear about the tomato plant and the 93 degree day, but even worse is the loss of three seasons of anything you'd been hoping to watch. I don't have a recorder, so these days I wait for the season releases on dvd in the shops. They're not cheap, so I don't buy everything, just what I know I will watch again and again.
ReplyDeleteBack in the days of VHS tapes, I had a recorder and always sat there waiting to push the record button to be sure I never missed any beginnings. Very time consuming that was.
I still have boxes of VHS tapes from as long as 25 years ago. DH will not let me throw them away for some odd reason. I'm not at sure what all is recorded on them.
DeleteThere are a lot of people out there that are Downton Abbey fans... which makes me think that we should give it a look. Gary and I just finished up with Parks and Recreation.. we were so addicted we had to watch at least 2 shows a night. I'm sad that it's over now but we are looking for another good series. So you got a new TV!! Good for you! So if its anything like it is in our house, you will get to watch your shows on it when DH is away ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have that right. BTW daytime TV is not worth watching, lol!
DeleteI can't see my comment here? In case you didn't get it, I said that Entertainment Weekly had a big writeup on all the TV shows coming this fall and Poldark was nowhere to be found. Do you have any more information as to when he may show up. I will miss him when I'm done with season 1. I think I can get season 2 if I pay for it on my Kindle Fire, but I would rather wait. Oh, I think I also said that Mary and I have developed a serious crush on the man. Lark Rise was on back in 2010 and 11. One of the guys went on to become Mr. Bates on Downton Abbey. Maybe you should look into a Kindle Fire, it's the least expensive of the tablets and if you get Prime, for around $100 a year, you can have all the entertainment you need for that year. I'm loving it.
