I went over my limit on my internet service. Sure they say unlimited, but after 10G they reserve the right to go from 4G to 3G. Obviously, 3G means the 'thinking' circle will spin on the screen until you just say, "To hell with it!" and shut it off. I get so far and then the spinning begins. So this is my lot for the last week of every month? How lovely. I can check my email and check my blog. Too many clicks and turning, turning, turning ...
I suppose this will be my post for the weekend.
"The Wheel Of Doom" That little, spinning, rainbow of colors. LOL
ReplyDeleteA question... Do you Clean Out History and Chache, often? We need to do that, to free up the memory, which is used, to keep all those places-we-have-clicked-on, while on our computers... I do it, every time I got off the computer.
I am on an old iMac, so my Place-To-Clean-Out-History, etc., is in a different place, than on a Pc. And then I have to close Firefox, my server. (I guess Firefox is my server, I am still not knowledgeable of all these terms) My deletion of History, will not work, till I close my Server.
But please, find this stuff, on your computer. And Please learn to Delete It. It may make a difference.
"The Wheel Of Doom" may have something to do with, all the space used up, with all your History.
Whatever... It might help... :-))))
Happy Easter,
Luna Crone
I clean my cache weekly.
DeleteMaybe, if you cleaned it daily, it might help? Maybe... Maybe....
DeleteIf it does, great. If it doesn't, go back to weekly. :-)
Then again, maybe this has nothing at all, to do with your issue!!!! I should not be giving ideas, at a distance.
Not clearing cache and cookies etc can slow down the operation of your computer, but has nothing to do with going over your data allowance limit.
DeleteInternet can be so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter.

ReplyDeleteI always thought that Wheel of Doom had more to do with how many people were using the internet on your line at the same time. I know there are certain times of the day when I get it more than others.
ReplyDeleteThat may have something to do with it sometimes, just probably not, in my case.
DeleteI have slower access between 8am and 10am when thousands of local businesses are all firing up their computers and again between 4pm and 6pm when they are all signing off and shutting down again. Weekends are no problem.
DeleteI have a little problem when the kids get home from school, haha, nothing big though.
DeleteI can't grip about my internet. Living in a country it's hard to find services what one needs, at fair price.
ReplyDeleteI pay $60 a month for my internet and I only get one mg.
Coffee is on
:/
DeleteOh goodness I know EXACTLY what you mean! Until this past year we had either no internet or incredibly limited internet. (Living in the country). It takes some getting used to.
ReplyDeleteI used to be stuck on dial-up and I saw lots of the thing circling round and round. "V" has just slowed me down. It should be okay again after my monthly date.
DeleteOOPS.....you must operate from you phone. Not me, I use my laptop for blogging cause I require, just because I like it a BIGGER screen to view. I hardly do anything on my phone except call, text and every so often post on facebook. Take care and have a great Easter....oh and by the way, I too ate a chocolate egg. Being I am still not supposed to have that stuff since my surgery I have paid all afternoon with an upset tummy. But...it was good at the time.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have the first clue how to do it on my phone. I do it on my laptop.
DeleteI know they warned you about the odd food - I do understand though, feel better soon.
Internet. It's the blessing and the Bain of our existence
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter
Wee you whenever Yu can come back on
I am still on, until the spinning starts again. I just can't trust it right now. No videos, no big pictures, no real decked out blogs right now.
DeleteOh my, who do you have Internet service with?
ReplyDeleteVerizon. Yep when they say they will slow you down, they aren't whistling Dixie. :-)
DeleteSo that's why the spinning circle goes on and on?
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought any Easter eggs this year. No matter what the brand, none tastes the same as it used to. The quality just isn't there. I could have bought some from the Haigh's shop in the city, but forgot to stop there last Thursday and of course they were closed yesterday and there's no way I was travelling that far this morning after sleeping in until almost 10am.
DH buys me whatever he THINKS I would like ... If he could only buy thinness ... :-)
DeleteI have zero will power once it gets into the house :-)
We know all about the "unlimited/limited data" at our house. I'm not sure if Carl has gotten that all sorted out or not. I've not gotten any texts telling me I'm about to run out, so maybe he has. I hope you can find a solution for your "data" too!
ReplyDeleteThank-you for your friendship, and I hope you have a great weekend!!

(¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤Happy Easter!!!
Weekend is going fine, considering.
DeleteHappy Easter to you as well, Kim!
Verizon sold ours to another provider and we have been slow ever since, even though all of their tests claim nothing has changed.....
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
Oh dear, that's all we need, is something like that. We just changed to this 'unlimited' deal last month. Thanks for your input.
DeleteHappy Easter.
This is such a beautiful meme.
ReplyDeleteHave an excellent week.
Darn internet.....
:-)
