It's been a week. Ahem ... They are going for the cheapest shipping, that's for sure. That is the Miracle Bra people.
Actually, I ordered them Friday or Saturday ... If they are holding them for ransom - it isn't happening!
The power went out last night. I suppose they had a scheduled shut down. Why can't they make a note of it on the bill? There is always a scramble to get my alternate oxygen going - in the dark. Evidently my Marathon tank for liquid o2 needs replacing or repairing. Ugh! I hooked up the other one, which I found out last week only puts out 2 hours at 2 lpm, so I had to turn it down to less and hope it would hold up until the power came back on. I guess the batteries need to be replaced. I'm going to have to have a heart to heart with my supplier ... Needless to say, I didn't sleep much, if at all. The battery one screams after it can't detect a breath. I feel like sh--!
Mother's Day. Wishing all the mothers, aunties, grandmothers, and carers a wonderful day!
Yes it does appear a heart to heart is due with your supplier, the name literally screams supply so why are you short on supplies?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day and the power stays on.
I just realized the Marathon wasn't working properly yesterday morning, when I had to help DH work on the plumbing. I didn't figure it would be an emergency to wait until next week to get it taken care of. Last week when my concentrator got broke, was on the weekend too - but we had power and I just plugged in the battery one. My fault, I suppose, not checking on my equipment like I should.
DeleteNot fun! You should call your power company and see if they have a special program for oxygen dependent people. Where I live they will deliver power generators to your house for planned and emergence outages. At the very least you can probably get on a list of people who will receive an automated call that will give you advanced warning of planned outages. I signed up to get an automated call when their meter reader is coming because of the dog.
ReplyDeleteDH did talk to the power company. Simple, they put it in the little local paper and guess they figure it's your own fault if you don't buy it. Cheesy little over-priced, hometown paper. No automated anything here.
DeleteThat's scary about your oxygen. Our electricity was out for about an hour yesterday because of the storm. Happy Mother's Day to you.
ReplyDeleteI hope your weather is nicer today. Happy Mother's Day to you as well!
DeletePlaned power outages???????
ReplyDeleteYes, you must have had a horrible night.
Hope you can just rest today.
And talk to all concerned, on Monday!!!!!
They plan outages when they need to up-date or do preventative maintenance. Yes, it was a long night. One of my sons is coming today, Mother's Day luncheon ... :-)
DeleteMaybe you also need a back up back up battery.
ReplyDeleteWe are considering one of this big ones ... :-)
DeleteHope you have a Happy Mother's Day after all that stuff with the oxygen.
ReplyDeleteAlready have had Chinese take out with son, J. Beautiful day!
DeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy Mother's Day to you, S.J.
That would be very scary indeed
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you too xx
:-)
DeleteBless your heart. That is not something to mess with so I hope it all gets fixed soon. Hang in there. Hope you had a great Mothers Day.
ReplyDeleteWill give supplier a call today.
DeleteI was asleep by 10:00 last night! Hahahaha.
My Daddy had COPD as well as my Brother. Like you, when you depend on it you need it ! I hope it gets taken care of. It's nice to hear you enjoyed Mother's Day. I watched a movie with the "gamer" Saturday night. My daughter in law, Erin and my grandson's, Zayn and Atlas came for dinner. I had a nice day too!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you had a good day as well! :-)
DeleteComment on your old blog.
DeleteGosh, how awful for you, and what a worry. I hope things have settled down now.
ReplyDeleteYep! :-)
DeleteThat's terrible about the oxygen! I hope you get the supply sorted out quickly. Is there any way you can contact the electricity supplier and let them know you can't survive a blackout without warning? They're endangering your life.
ReplyDeleteI can only blame myself when I don't see to it my equipment is not in good order. They don't do this very often. Not sure how I would fare during a disaster though ...
DeleteThat must be scary.
ReplyDeleteThis bra had better be worth the wait! We shall expect a photo of you in it you understand!
Liz, you are such a comedienne! Photo, indeed! Hahahaha!
DeleteI hope today is calmer for you. That situation sounded extremely nerve wracking.
ReplyDeleteIt is, in the middle of the night. I was okay once I got some sleep. ;-)
DeleteStill waiting for your delivery?
ReplyDeleteYeah ... I think they may be in Memphis now. Sorry, isn't it? Sure not getting good service for my money, am I? I hope the bras are better than that!
DeleteI sure things comes around, and sure it did.
