Visitors this morning. For some reason Picassa has not shown them in order. I believe these to be Starlings Theresa tells me they are Grackles, oops. They flew in and in five minutes they were gone. It was unbelievable how many there were. I couldn't capture the scope of how many there were. Bottom picture shows they were after the nuts off the big tree. It was truly a magnificent sight!

I admit it! I'm prejudiced

I will admit it, I am prejudiced - against zombies. They literally make me ill. I know, everyone out there is booing me over this and think I'm a skanky old _itch, but they creep me out. I watched one of John's favorite's and well, I was NOT impressed. Then I read some of it and being a reader, I immerse myself in a book or story. I dang near puked. 

No I will not be blogging about said fictitious creatures again.

I don't like spiders either...

The apple tree is quite a way from the house, but the flagging of her tail drew my attention from my comp to the window.

No picture of my mess - hee hee.

I was just thinking I need to clean up my desk to make it look nicer, for who, I have no clue. My son doesn't care, DH neither. But I have noticed a few things that need to go elsewhere:

5 soup spoons from frequent breaks

4 pr. of various reading glasses (that I will double up on occasionally) they can go on my other desk.

Bandages

Aspercream - that I cannot use

2 address books

Tylenol

Last year's calendar

Jewelry loupe

Several discs for programs I have already installed

Simichrome Polish

Mail

Large bag of potato chips

Diamond heart earrings

 3 mechanical pencils

Now that's just what I can see on the top of the pile, I'm dang near positive it isn't one layer or things wouldn't be sliding off, right? I think I will just shove it all in a box (except for the earrings - why did I take them out of the case?) and set it aside for a "someday" project. 

What does the top of your desk look like? HMM???

11:16 P.M. and I have signal

WOW! All I want to do is go to bed! I tried all day to get enough signal to cruise, surf and research and could not find signal. NOW I have signal! I would like to know what the heck is up!

Of course if I try to do anything those four bars will become two and that bleep exclamation mark will show up and it will all be over except the wishing I could throw it right through the window it's leaning on.

This is my rant for the week- - - - - - - that is all.

Son installing programs - no mouse. I have to get a new mouse!

Why do all my children make faces at me when I am taking a pic?

Bless him, he spent six hours making the new one exactly like my old one, without benefit of a mouse. He didn't get to clean out his car or goof off on his only day off. Sorry Son! (I just noticed the gray in your beard, I'm not helping much, am I?) Thank you. I love you!!!

Cold again... Rats!!!

Silly bird flitting around in my tree - that flash of red on the back of it's head intrigued me. But not enough to try to look it up.

Still sick, I don't know what it is, a combo, I think of Montezuma's Revenge, maybe ulcer, head achy, sinus infection and general blah.

I still haven't powered up the new comp and I still adore my Roomba.

Cell, Comp, and Ick

It came today.  Don't feel good enough to even power it up.

I thought I was feeling better last night and then it attacked again.

The cell antenna thingy works for my cell phone as long as I keep it at my desk. My hotspot is helped somewhat, so I will keep it.

It's All About the Signal

Crossing Fingers It does seem to work...

 

DH was tired of losing calls and not always getting hold of me on my cell. (We have the unlimited to each other - handy when he is out of town)

He picked this up yesterday and we tried a temporary hook up through the front door (chilly BTW) and it raised the bars on both phones. He will have to crawl under the house to run the cable, we can't have the door open all the time, you know. I did talk him into waiting a few days or a week, so he doesn't mess up that knee.

Hoping it will help WiFi too! Will keep you informed - those that live way out in the boonies, like us...

No NUM Pad!

I have been busy today, don't ask what I did, I don't remember all of it. I did however, order a new notebook. It has more space on the hard drive than I will ever need, TWICE the memory. Same size as my laptop but...

I suppose get used to hunting and pecking in the middle of the board...

It's ordered, now if everyone would take a moment of silence in the hopes that this one will last until it's replacement arrives!

 I was planning on surprising everyone with an early 'awake' post.  Sorry, I shouldn't have planned. I'm sure many have been over this before, but this may be the year that those suffering from triskaidekaphobia – will get over it – or go mad… one or the other.

Christmas here was excellent. Our son came up for a visit; wish the other one (sun) had. It's still gloomy today. (Probably why I slept in) Well, we actually played some games, watched some movies, and talked a lot more than we usually do.

DH is through with PT, but still needs to do it. I think he will be going to the 'Y'. He goes back to the doctor in a month.
