Mule train?

Seen passing my place this afternoon. There were a couple more in the rear. These folks hitch up their mules and buggies for parades and I think to keep the animals used to the traffic.

They sure had a crappy day for it. Just saying.

  1. Not the best day for a parade, but at least you got a view from your front porch and didn't get wet!

    Enjoy your weekend!!

    1. They are in a sort of club. I don't think there was a parade today.
I would have hated to been behind all of them...

  2. I live near a training facility for horse carriage driving. On rare occasions, I see something like this, and in that case, yes, it's to get the animals used to the road. Must say, it's fun to watch... Even with the solid fuel exhaust...

  5. How cool is that. I'd love to go and live with the Amish imagine how much you would learn.

    1. We have Mennonites in the next county over. Those shown in my picture are just plain folks with mules. The Mennonites use real carriages and horses, although I have seen them using cars lately. They do live simply - simply hard... been there, done that, never again. :)
