This and that...

Happy Mothers Day to all you gals!

I have been having a little problem with my left leg and foot. Pretty ugly, huh? I suppose I needed the flowers to offset the problem. Right?

Short visit, I only had time for the one shot.
Now I can see where the birdseed goes... I caught these cowbirds, flicking through the seeds to select just what they wanted. They went through over half a filling in less than a half hour. I am rethinking the use of this feeder...

Wishing you all a great weekend. I need to go put my leg up again, sorry I haven't been around much. Take care now.

  2. Holy cow Sharon! What is wrong with your leg/foot? Have you been to the doctor? We have a feeder similar to that right outside of our bedroom window... only ours is trimmed in red. We've had a lot of pretties already this year. Happy Mother's Day!

    1. I'm getting old, Hon, and it's just one of those irritating things that can go wrong... Taking lasix now, but it isn't as fast working as it used to be. Has a very nice Mothers Day, thank you!

  5. Take care of your leg girl and have a nice Mother's day. The flowers are very pretty. I have to limit my birds somewhat or they will eat me out of house and home. I do enjoy them though.

  8. hope your left leg and foot are improving...I'm thinking about you and trying to remember what I used to do for Don that didn't entail going to the doctor :) BTW I've had some birds (even though there's no food out) a young male Cardinal, a red headed Woodpecker and a Mockingbird. The Woodpecker finds plenty of food in the bark of the oak tree...but I think something happened to the Mockingbird, as in killed it, because I've found numerous feathers on the ground. Perhaps the cat I spied several months ago and haven't seen since paid a visit.

    1. I think it is improving, it no longer feels like the skin will split when I walk on it.
I would almost bet the cat got the mockingbird - it was probably getting even, haha.

  9. Here's hoping you have good meds for that foot!
    Your flowers look pretty.
We no longer encourage birds because of the rodent over populaion around us.
