First I'm doing the bird ... then ...

I decided the blog needed a new header. Thinking this would make a pretty medallion type pattern on a set of pillows. I really liked how the colors turned out. Maybe a print on the wall? Hmm ...

I got a new nursery catalog today. Sigh ... Meanwhile DH was outside cutting down and cutting off. LOL! It's still nice to think about. I think I almost have DH convinced to sow seeds on the southern part of the yard, with wildflower seeds. Maybe a 30- 40' strip of the property. It would mean so much less to mow in the heat this summer.

I'm thinking about using my blog as a sort of record for how I'm feeling. Any of my family or friends that reads it will be able to tell better than I, how many cards I'm playing with and when maybe I should get help. Am I making sense?

Had this thing this afternoon - I'm not sure how long it lasted or even what it was. Scene: I'm sitting at my computer, waiting for my show to come on and lingering over a Mahjong game I was losing - then my show came on. I have no idea where my head was, it could have been anywhere south of 15 minutes. All of a sudden, I was so confused, and had no idea what time it was, what I was doing or where I was. It took me a few minutes to get myself orientated and I missed the beginning of the show. Not that the show was more important, it's that my lights were on, but I was out.

I don't know if I'm understood, at least you're not looking at me funny. Ha ha, not that I can see anyway. Well, will see if a diary works. I feel absolutely fine, now. I did that stroke test - nah.

Have a good day, night, whatever!

I'm glad you have decided to stay. We will let you know if what is going on doesn't make sense

    1. I have an up-coming Dr. appt, not anxious to go, he's probably going to want tests and I'd just as soon, not. If you know what I mean, poking, and prodding, and hooking me up to machines is not what I signed up for.

  3. You're making perfect sense.
It might be a good idea to keep a diary and write down every time your brain goes out without you. After a while you could legitimately exclaim "you never take me with you anymore!"

  4. I share your opinion of going to the doctor. It's been so long since I went I forget what he looks like. Your idea of keeping a diary is great. Things happen as we get older, unexpected things, so it's good to record them. I keep reprimanding myself when things happen, it shakes me up a bit but at least it makes me aware.

But I didn't want to lose my place .. so I just did it. Keep us updated on how you are doing!! Hugs!

Thinking of sending DH to dr. today, he came home from work early with a headache. Seems somebody forgot to take his BP medicine for 3 days ...

  7. You new banner is really cute. Also, the idea of a large wildflower bed would be beautiful.

I think that is a great idea to use you blog as a type of diary. It, also gives us, your readers, to keep current on you. I have always maintained that blog friends become real-life friends in many ways.

As for your "thing"....was that more like just being lost in thought for a bit or being distracted as opposed to a medical problem?? I hope all is well for you.

    1. Whole different animal from 'lost in thought.' More like right after you've been on a merry-go-round at the playground and then it stopped suddenly, when I became aware of it. (Or wearing new bi-focals and looking at the ground, and then looking up.)

  8. The bird header is beautiful. Recently when someone ask John his address he couldn't remember it. Good idea to keep a journal here.

    1. I agree - and I think everyone over the hill should keep some sort of journal about their health. (Along with pertinent phone numbers and addresses.)

  10. I love your new header and you made perfect sense with this post. I'm happy you will be continuing blogging thru these incidents. I immediately message my lit'l sis when something feels wonky with me that way we both have record and I can easily look things up so I don't forget to tell my doc my concerns. I would absolutely go to the dr. it could be a simple blood test or pee test that lets him/her know what's going on. You are your top priority. I'll be praying for you SJ.
