Losing it Part II

Okay, okay, I will continue the blog for a while. I have decided to keep the blog - if y'all will understand if I don't comment or respond to a comment, or if I don't make sense at times. Maybe I could just leave a smiley face if I can't think of something to say? I try to read everyone's blog and respond accordingly, but sometimes I just don't know what to say. I will sit here cogitating for the longest sometimes. I even wonder - do I need a comma in there? Sitting here and trying to think what to say is very hard on my legs, feet, and back.

Remember when we were young and saying we would never end up being like our mothers? Yeah, I believe I have begun to travel the same road. Mom's been gone 25 years or so, but I can remember how her mind seemed to fade as the time passed. Before she passed, she hardly acknowledged me, I was my sister. It took her a long time to get to that point - like 10 years, I would guess I might be at year 3, maybe, hopefully, fingers crossed. Doc said it was a matter of not getting enough o2 to my brain.

I've started to watch The  Twilight Zone and the first show I put in, well, I wasn't actually looking at the TV, and there was some man saying the intro as if he were reading it off the script. I looked up and there he was. Obviously, it took him a while to pick up that signature intro sound. LOL! I'm still in the first year, it will take a while to see all of the shows.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Don't worry about how your comment reads on my blog, just say hello so I know you were there. I may be in year one, so far I just have those common things that I have had for years, forgetting why I am standing in the kitchen without a clue, and so on. When I was in my 50s, I threw away a check and I also threw away my partial dentures in the trash. I managed to retrieve both. So it has been going on for years, but I don't notice it getting any worse. Then, maybe it is and I don't notice. I just laugh as much as I can about the old age issues. Not much else to do really.

    1. Sometimes I realize that I've messed up, sometimes I don't have a clue except for the look or reaction I receive. Ha Ha My spelling is getting bad and I'm so happy to have the spell check.

  3. It is important to use your blog skills even if mistakes happen. Pushing the brain matters. Not enough O2 ?
Take little streches is walking is tough. Deep breath as you watch movies. And dropping by is your choice. After all I hardly write now as my eyes are not good.

    1. From what the doctor said, the tiny blood capillaries to my brain are clogged, as they are to my lungs. My Lipitor evidently doesn't work for that.
Thought you were going to have surgery on your eyes. (Wrong person?)
      Nice to see you!

  4. Add me to the list of those who are glad you're staying around! I'd miss you - We started out this blogging journey at about the same time, and this is a lot more fun with friends like you around!

And like you, I am like my Mom in both memory and other ways too.... I could never understand why she always parked in the same row at the grocery store - I get it now, and do the same thing!!

  5. Stop worrying. What will be will be. I'm pleased you decided to continue writing your blog. Spelling is dealt with by spell checkers and there's no pressure on your to write. Take a break if you need to but remember your blogging friends are always there and always thinking about you. If I can't think of anything to write about I fall back on copying jokes or putting on a picture or two. I also have what I call my 'titbits' paper where I jot down happenings that might make interesting reading. Just doing that keeps the brain active. Oh dear, I have gone on, haven't I? Have a nice day.

  7. Oh, my. I enjoy your blog, even though I don't get on the computer to read it as often. (Technology, my "out of date" computer will pull up your blog. My woo woo computery phone, not so easily. Go figure.) But a blog is just what you want it to be, if you want to pull up stakes, or write the next War and Peace, it is your thing. We all out here love to read it, but I am the first to say, it is what makes you happy!

  11. I'm glad you've decided to stick around and I don't mind at all if your only comment is a smiley face.
I used to spend my life declaring I would never turn into my mother, but just lately I've seen a few flashes of her. Yikes! Must be Que Sera time, what will be, will be.

  12. I am so pleased that you continue to blog. I always enjoy your authentic sharing of your life. What a blessing it is to meet people in this form of communication.

I met my mother as an adult and didn't find any similarities between her and I was very young when I met her (26) I have often wondered if maybe I became more like her or if she changed somewhat as she aged. I have know idea about her or her personality but I did receive word that she passed away a few years ago. (of what...I have no idea)
