Disillussioned

I have never seen myself as different than what I am. That said, I must be disillusioned. The ad said to order your normal clothing size. Normally, I wear a large, but I have gained some poundage, so I ordered XL. Studying these bras, I would have to say that I need a 2 or 3XL. I tried to pour myself into the nude one. It was a real fight and felt as if I was being squeezed to death. Sigh.
I noticed after the fight to fit into that the bra, it did not return completely to that size. Not the bounce-back I would have expected. Hmm.
The fabric feels lovely. For how long ...time would tell. Not overly fond of the hard foam in the bra cups, but it is removable. Now to find a home for them.

Up real early for trip to the doctor. Luckily, he didn't chew me out. I was supposed to go in the end of March. Blood pressure is still too high. He put me on a better water pill. I need to take my allergy pills regularly. (I'm not a fan) He wants me to see a pulmonologist again, he'll set me up an appointment. Maybe there is something new on the scene to help my breathing. I guess I will see my old guy. Not looking forward to going through that whole game, but I really can't breath. I quit going because he didn't seem to be doing anything besides wasting my time. Maybe, just maybe, they have come up with something new that will help.

Ordered the movie, A Dog's Purpose. I guess we will have movie time tomorrow. DH has something else on right now.

I hope you all have a fun weekend!

  1. One of the reasons I hate ordering online. The sizes are all over the place
I hope they can help you with your breathing. Sending hugs xx

    1. I kind of figured they would be off, but this is ridiculous.

  2. Had a similar experience with a panty-girdle. We need these things back in real live shops.

    1. Even in the stores, the sizes are off, depending on the manufacturer.

  3. Without a proper bra measurement to compare with, it's hard to see exactly what size they are. Sorry they don't fit and I hope you find someone to give them to.
I'm sorry to hear about your breathing too and really, really hope you can get some help there.

    1. Maybe my granddaughter, but then again it could be too tight. :/

  4. Maybe that bra is x-large in China but it sure isn't an American x-large! Ordering online is such a hassle but one we have to do more and more as the retails stores keep closing around us.

Can't wait to hear how you like a Dog's Purpose. I want to see it too. Did you watch the preview of the new TV show coming in the fall---Downward Dog? I did and I'm going to love it. We get to hear the dog's thoughts.

    1. I think they are in the business for the postage, not return customers.

I hadn't hear about Downward Dog, I don't have regular programming. I'll have DH watch for it and record it for me.

  5. I will never order shoes on line as long as I live. Shoe sizes are also "all over the place." Same with T-shirts. Usually a medium is what I need, but one "medium" T-shirt that was made in India absolutely squeezed the breath out of my lungs. I exchanged it for a large, which was slightly roomier. On the other hand, some medium T-shirts look like they are hand-me-downs from a very well-endowed older sister.

    1. I guess goods made in India seems to run very small.
I ordered some moccasins made in the USA - they fit. Ha Ha.

  6. We went to the movies to see a dogs purpose. It was great! I hope you get it all figured out with your Dr. and that there is something new and better for your breathing. A little cooler here today. Hope you are having a great weekend.

  7. I hate shopping for any clothing at all. On-line is worse. Hope the doctor can find something to help your breathing.

  8. I am sorry you have not been feeling well and I understand, it is a pain to have to go to the doc. As for the holders for the sisters, I HATE bras. All kinds! I tried something like this when I had surgery on my shoulder a few yrs ago. I bought a larger size but they fit so tight that I just went without (my size you can do that)...and since retirement in July I have only put a bra on about 4 times.

    2. I still wear a bra every day, I'm uncomfortable without one, I hate feeling the girls hanging loose and gathering sweat. I'm not huge, but bigger than I want to be. I miss the old days when I weighed 56kg and the girls were A-B cup size.

  9. Please-don't-order-those-'wonderful'-things-again. ,-(

Good luck with the docs. Do hope they have developed some wonderful new thing.

    Hope you like that movie.

Me, I'm still "in the clutches" of Netflix viewing. LOL.

  10. Oh what a disappointment, that seems to be my luck when I do order something by mail. Also hope the doctor will have something new that could help you a lot.

  12. That's about right, as long as it took to get to you I was afraid the size would be off....go figure.

That movie is supposed to be good, the previews look like it will be.

    1. That had to be the cheapest mail available!

I liked the movie, not triple A, needs an honor, or worth the $20 I spent, but it was good. I cleaned my sinus quite well. Never did cry so much from a story.

  13. At least you finally rec'd your bras -- what I sent my Dtr to arrive Sat. before Mother's Day never tracked beyond the P.O. where I mailed it. Too bad about your bra sizes. Sizes for everything vary so much I hate ordering apparel or shoes on line or out of catalogs which is pretty much the same thing -- this is progress?

Hope you get your breathing under control as can appreciate the challenges you may experience based on my husband's experiences and individuals I encountered in my work.

    1. Gosh, I sure hope you had insured the package!

      Not progress, just different, uncaring.

I hope my breathing gets better, too! :-)

    2. Yes, they were gift cards I insured. I was able to get direct refund from store on one. We'll see what develops with others to avoid P.O. Paperwork.

  14. I don't like ordering bras online. I ordered some for my posture, but they were so scratchy, I couldn't wear them or had to wear them on top of a t-shirt, which only worked while home alone. Breathing is important, I know you know this, so please go and try to find the best help available. Can you change doctor if you aren't happy with the one you see now?

    1. Yes, I can change doctors, but to be honest, the good ones are few and far between. I am no a real fan of doctors. For those who practice medicine need a whole lot more work ...

  15. Good Morning,
Hoping your doctor has some new ideas to help you. It must be hard to deal with your breathing problems and then have allergies on top of that.

  17. Ugh. Ordering online is such a roll of the dice. I try to read as many reviews as I can because the companies won't tell you if their stuff runs small or slightly larger. I've been disappointed countless times with online ordering but still I do it. Occasionally they get it right. - I hope your breathing improves and the docs can help. Sending prayers from Idaho to you SJ. Be well.
