Christmas Surprises

Our son outdid himself again. We are going to have to get a large desk or cabinet for all the stuff! (Or add on a room just for game play) I hope this means he plans on moving closer to us!

This was only the beginning. There is a PS4, extra controllers, a steering wheel, and I don't know what all. Ever do VR? It is a trip! All of a sudden I had a shark coming right at me! Played a shoot 'em up game and I died, of course. Flying a plane is not simple, haha. You get the gist. I think we are his spoiled children ...

Oh, there was still the chocolates (3 boxes) and other food items, also 3 blueray series. I already watched The Fall. Still have Westworld and Stranger Things. I'm going to pace myself. :-)

DH gave me a pair of gold drop earrings and a silver necklace (which I had him return) I love the earrings, thought they were too pricey though. I gave him a long cozy robe, pajama pants, and none of your business [wink]. Son asked for and received Nintendo Switch and a game. He says he likes the set-up.

Have a lovely Sunday (or Monday) and stay comfortable!

  2. Wow, did you luck out! It would take me a month of Sundays just to figure out how to set up and use all that stuff.

  6. I've always fancied playing games online but at the moment only play scrabble and a silly matching game. Whenever I have tried with a control I can never seem to be quick enough on the buttons. lol

    2. Aren't kids wonderful! I think games keep your mind sharp, at least it helps. I don't know about those you mention but I belong to Club Pogo and love their games.

  7. Scrabble is my only luxury but it keeps the mind working. I wouldn't know where to start with anything else, board game or otherwise.

  8. I've never tried VR and don't think I want to, real life is enough and I'm not good at video games anyway.
I've seen two seasons of Stranger Things and like it a lot, waiting on season three now. I do hope there is a season three.

  10. It sounds like you have a lot of new gadgets to play with! Have you had much time playing video games in the past? I tend to not play many myself, but for folks who get into them that can give lots of goes of entertainment. I think you will want to spend some time looking at the vast array of games available to play on that system and pick one that really appeals to what you find especially fun.

    1. I never learned how to play and let me tell you, since last year's toys - I go into panic mode trying to play the games and keep the controls straight in my head. I was just figuring out the wii and now there are all these different things to contend with. I do my best on slow, untimed, games on the computer in the quiet of my room. I think my guys get a lot of entertainment watching me try! HaHa.

  12. What lovely gifts you two gave each other. I don't know or understand a thing about the latest electronics. I plan to learn after all the rest I have to do gets done. Which may mean never..... Jill is adorable as a Calendar Girl.

  14. What fantastic presents! I only tried that VR thing once and was completely befuddled and 'dead' within seconds!
Do you happen to know anything about Luna Crone? I think I found her through your blog but I am denied access to her blog now.

    1. I would guess that it takes some time to get over the disorientation of the VR. I'm going to take it slow. Haha. I imagine you 'die' quite a lot until you get the hang of it. I really liked going down into the ocean, but that shark sure startled me!
As for Luna Crone, I unfollowed her, we just weren't compatible. No idea about her.

  15. AWESOME. I remember when my kids got the first Nintendo. I could not wait for them to go to bed for school the next day and I would stay up late playing Mario Brothers! I was addicted and I had to get up for work the next day!! I finally had to stop it. Since then the games the kids play are more advanced than I care for. Have fun with you system.

  19. It's so good to see you back! I almost quit blogger tonight after I couldn't find my blogs that I follow and I was really rattled... but all worked out and I was just being impatient. Wow! What a great gift. Sounds like you all had an awesome Christmas.. so glad Bobby made it, he always brings the nicest gifts! We tried VR before but it was a cheapie version. Not at all this nice... Stay warm and enjoy your new toys!
