As you may or may not know, I have to make a new cover for the third book of my Julia series. Seems the original one was upside-down for folks with an Apple. (It's just a picture folks, sigh...) I have had more trouble making the new one. Please tell me which one actually appeals to you or maybe if you would swap some of the fonts out. I am going to resubmit it with my slightly 'fixed' version of the book tomorrow afternoon. (That would be my Friday)
There is love, adventure and sadness tied up in one in this third part of Julia's life. If you are going to read, it is best to start with the first one - 'Monroe Street', to get to know the characters. You'll fall in love with someone on the way. After I re-submit it, it will take a week or two for it to be on the Smashwords site.
Thanks for any help! Have a lovely evening!
i really like the color version in the middle (b) - very pleasing to the eye. however, with the title 'bad things' and reading your description of the plot, i'd go with the one on the far right (c) - i like it's photo negative look for a 'something's off' vibe.
ReplyDeleteI agree with TexWisGirl... The middle one caught my eye, but the one on the right is the best one for this book. I like it!!
ReplyDeleteI like the layout of A Sharon - the title is almost at eye level - the block font seems to bring your eye to the rose and the wedding ring and makes you wonder what went wrong. If you raise the rose and ring and move the authors name to the bottom it wont look balanced and the thing is with it being so dark I don't think it would catch anyones eye - maybe lightening the title might help but then if they've read the first two of the series the content is what they'd be after wouldn't they.
ReplyDeleteSo it's C for me
Cathy
From the title and your description, I vote for C.
ReplyDeleteC :) The textures are beautiful. Depth, contrast, light, shadows. Hope it works!
ReplyDeletei love the colour one in the middle. it catches the eye.
ReplyDeleteI like 'C'. It is dark as the title suggests. Bad things aren't usually brightly coloured and cheerful. I would suggest to make the font size a little smaller for the title to fit better and not be too crowded in. Nice job Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI like A, except for the title, which is a bit difficult to read. A bit more contrast so the title was easier to read would be good. I definitely think the layout is the best in A.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one. :)
ReplyDeleteI kind of like A best, but I think C would lend itself to the description you gave... So I vote C.

I like B: we all need more color in our lives. But I like the font of the C
