I left the dead fig because the birds like to sit in it. I believe they have planted several sunflowers for me in return. |
Red Headed Woodpecker has yet to come into the yard. Sorry it's fuzzy. |
My squirrel, he visits as often as he dares. Occasionally jumping into the greenery to hide. |
Two of the four crows, who think they own the place since they got the nerve to check out the basket. |
Have a beautiful week, Y'all!
How cool. The birds planting for you. I think it's to say thank you for all that feed you give them
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely way to say they're messy, anyway.
DeleteI want a red headed woodpecker like yours - i'd love to see one in the flesh. We do have crows as well, not my favourite bird tho'
ReplyDeleteThis one only gets spotted from a distance, but I was excited to see it, nonetheless!
DeleteWhat a nice thank you from the birds! We still have crows hanging around..not my favorite birds.
ReplyDeleteI was not happy to see the crows advance. They bug the smaller birds and sift through the seeds looking for the best bits.
Deletelove all your critter visitors. :)
ReplyDeleteI can count on seeing that puny squirrel every day! The baby birds will also hide until a parent shows when the BIG birds show up. DH spotted a baby bunny the night before last.
DeleteI like the idea of the bird habitat, like all the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Paula. They seem to love that old fig, it's like their jumping off place - also a good place for me to get half way decent pictures without ground clutter.
