    1. Wish I could take the credit! Oh, it's mine, but it's from the bird feeder and piggy birds.

  2. Beautiful! I've tried to grow those plate size ones and never can. It is odd with the amount of small ones that grow around here.

    1. I was reading up on sunflowers, you might google it. You may need seeds for the giant ones. I guess the roots go deep - I have no idea how this one got so big. Have two that the seed head was about 5" across and several small ones that were just flowers. I think they must be pretty crowded in that little area where the birds play (rest etc).

  3. Oh, wow, nature's bounty. About the phone, I think we are all different, so maybe go to a phone store and try them out. Mine, which is the latest Samsung Galaxy model, number S6, is a bit too large for my taste, the iPhones are smaller. Mine is so quick, you almost just have to look at it and it does what you want it to do. This can be anoying for older hands, as we are not as quick as we once were and my hit the wrong letters, etc. But, all in all, everyone speaks so well of these phones that I hope I will get used to mine. And after seeing those pictures, I feel a lot better about it. You can also speak your text messages, which I haven't tried yet, but it can be done, which should be convenient.

    1. Thanks Inger! DH has an apple phone, I don't like it, if I touch it wrong, I lose what he's showing me. You have some beautiful pictures, though. It's larger than an iphone? I have very small and very stiff hands ... Maybe I have to think about it some more.

  4. Wow! We had some really nice ones the first year we spread wild flowers out in our garden, but none came back after that. That one sure is a big 'un!

    1. I wonder about some seeds, if they will propagate new ones or not. Maybe you need to sow those beauties you had last year again.
Yes it is large - on a 3 1/2 foot stem!
