Box of Chocolates

I'm sure everyone has heard about Forrest Gump and his mother's take on life. Today, my box of chocolates doesn't have much in it. I mean to say ... I have nothing going on in my life but some sweet & nuts. Life shouldn't always be exciting or we wouldn't survive. (Yes, I did, I ate all of the rest of that box and it was quite good!)
Nothing left except sweet toffee and nuts.
I hope you all had a nice calm start to your week!

  1. Hmm. Mine never has enough, generally, for leftovers, so if someone gets the box after me, they know EXACTLY what they are going to get. :D

  2. It is true, everyday isn't meant to be exciting. We all need days that don't rock the boat.

  4. Your post reminds me of a quote from Katharine Hepburn that goes something like, "What you see before you, my friend, is the result of a lifetime of chocolate." :-)

    1. Dear Katy, she was something else, wasn't she? I could use her line. :-)

  5. Sounds like my box. There are some soft centred moments, a few hard core ones. With a sprinkling of nuts. Really a perfect. Balance

    1. This was a box of old fashioned chocolates - no coconut.
      Now it's 53 days ...

  7. I got to sit in the chair in front of a big window looking at a squirrel playing in a beautiful oak tree. Would have been nice except I was getting my teeth cleaned.

  8. The Australian Open is on so I've been doing a bit of chocolate eating myself watching the dishy Mr Federer and strongman Mr Djokovic. No soft centres for me - I'll take your toffee and nuts anyday!

  10. I just ate the last of my Harry and David chocolates that I bought for myself for Christmas. Well, there was some popcorn in there too. I believe we all need chocolate in our lives.
