Feels like Monday or Saturday, not Friday!

It's hard wrapping my head around what day it is. DH is working the night shift and has a day off in the middle of the week instead of the weekend. He had yesterday (night) off, which is really not like having a day off. This night shift thing has us messed up, the dogs included. It's as hard keeping Jack and Jill quiet as it would be to keep a couple of two-year-olds quiet. They see a dog (cat, man, leaf blowing) and the mayhem begins.

Son came down to visit on the 'day off' and the two guys went grocery shopping, did laundry, and finally played some wii golf after supper. Not much of a day off, if you ask me. They did play 'monster in the blanket' with J & J on the bed (mine, of course) until Jill fell off. Son caught her, but it traumatized her, nonetheless. Now she's avoiding my room, which has her stationed on the big chair by the windows and seeing every little thing ...

When it snowed the other day, it snowed all day long. It was mostly just pretty coming down and blowing about. I took pictures of Tacky. She thought she wanted to come in, but was having a hard time making up her mind for sure. She was full of snow. I took some pictures - I have so few opportunities for photo shots anymore, so here goes.

Have a great day, weekend, whatever!

  1. Beautiful cat. No snow here, just rain.

    1. Generally not much snowfall around here, mostly freezing rain or soaking rain in our area.

  2. I've done the night shift thing...with days off during the week...my life was totally screwed up! Sleeping during the day just doesn't work for me...unless I'm horribly sick and/or have a temperature. If I'd had Baron (the dachshund) back then I'd have been sunk...because he barks at (almost) every little sound he hears. Love the fluffy cat photos...makes me miss my "Chin-Chin" a tortoiseshell Persian I had back in the '70s/'80s. Today is Saturday...not sure if it'll feel like Saturday to you but it is actually :D :D :D

  4. Awe, your kitty is beautiful. I know it is hard when you both sleep on different shifts. Or live on different shifts. I am still programmed to be a night own. So even not working. I still find myself staying up all night. Best wishes.

    1. I know - ever after he is back on days, this is going to mess us up. He woke up this afternoon looking like death warmed over - twice!

  5. Beautiful kitty. I wish I wasn't so allergic. I just know a cat is the perfect furr baby for me but I do so love my lit'l Luci. We finally got done with our snow and it was beautiful out today. Plenty of sunshine and spring like temps. I had the doors and windows open and really enjoyed the day. Tonight and tomorrow rain but still, temps near 60 or above. I'll take it! - Just found your little space in the blog-o-sphere. I'll be back. :)

    1. I'm allergic too, that's why she has to live outside. WE had a good, if not chilly day here today - more winter is on the way though. :( Nice of you to come and see me!

  6. Pretty cat! Mine thinks she wants to go out, but just sits at the door and stares. (She is a total indoor cat).
    Happy Valentine's Day!
