DH has been out looking for work, leaving me and the 'Kids' home alone. Today is day 3 and Jill is still uncooperative about going outside. She's pouting, I guess. I'm seriously thinking about putting loops on that mattress to hang it on the wall during the day. She lies there, eyes open, staring into that corner. She's hardly eating, doesn't want to play. I would think she was sick if I didn't know that this is what she does when he's not home. She doesn't understand anything about money, work or any of the necessities in life. All she knows is that she wants him home.
If you're wondering why I allow her to sleep in that hole in the mattress - I have rearranged the foam inside to make it flat again. She digs at it until she has the hole again - takes her less than half an hour. She's going to go ape ---- when he shows up again this afternoon!
Lucy loves me but she loves Lou more. But nothing would keep her from eating.
ReplyDeleteJill has always been the sensitive type and absolutely everything bothers her.
DeleteOh, poor baby. Hope DH gives her a lot of love when he arrives home.
ReplyDeleteShe was all over him when he came in the door - poor thing, she will hit the dumps again tomorrow.
DeleteAWWW, I feel sorry for Lucy. Separation can be hard. I send my best wishes to DH on the job hunt. Job seeking isn't the most fun thing in the world. I hope he finds something that suits him. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you.
ReplyDeleteHe's going to take a short call. I hate when he works out of town though.
DeleteHow odd that she does not eat or care for you.
ReplyDeleteJill loves me, she just loves him more - when he's gone, I am just that woman ...
DeleteWait, isn't he 70 years or so? What is he looking for work for?
ReplyDeleteI'm 70, he's not. It will be a few more years before he can retire early. (His plan)
DeleteAwe bless her heart.. She will be so happy when he returns. Gracie gets sad when Gary is gone too. Probably more so than when I am gone. Traitor. lol
ReplyDeleteBTW I love your header!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I was looking for a 'different' one and I guess this one is it!
DeleteYep gotta go to work to make money to buy that dog food.
ReplyDelete...and doggie bones, and heart worm medicine, and toys, and ...
DeleteWork we all have to be involve with it some time in our life. Hope "Jill" perk up soon.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Jill's better this morning, but he's leaving again. Sigh ...
DeleteOh poor bubba. She misses him so. Typical though isn't it. We ar home with them all day and when daddy comes home they come to life. Bloody kids lol
ReplyDeleteYep, very typical. Sometimes, I feel like a piece of furniture ...
