The top picture is across the road, the meadow. I can see why my nose has been so drippy and why I sneeze so hard. Goldenrod! Well, too blah to take pictures, so I gave Tacky some loving as long as I was out there . I hung around, waiting for sunrise.
I think this is it. The fog has lifted some. I imagine DH hated the drive in to work this morning. I don't know if you can see 3 spiderwebs in the tree in the foreground, but you better believe I am going to stay clear of it.
We had a nice surprise yesterday. J came for a visit with his wife. She made us a delicious peach cobbler, fresh out of the oven. It was scrumptious with vanilla ice cream on top. Mmm-mm!
We need to get a gate on the ramp to the deck. One of the neighbor's dogs has already decided to mark the deck. He/she pooped on it! I know it wasn't the big white dog, not that he wouldn't do that, he did the patio big time, last year. Thank heaven DH had it sealed already.
Y'all have a great day, night, whatever. I'm going to bed soon, no sleep last night. I watched the first part of the PBS Vietnam story, and well, one thought led to another and DH was getting up.
I bounced between the Vietnam documentary and the Emmy's and I couldn't really get into either one.
ReplyDeleteFog is not fun to drive in!
I never really understood why we were in Vietnam in the first place. Now, this version of the way it was may be skewed or not, but at least I can see some of the reasoning behind our involvement. I didn't know ALL of the back history. Guess part 2 is tonight.
DeleteGreat atmospheric photos Sharon!!!
ReplyDeleteFog and driving are a scary combo...hope DH had a safe travel time.
I love looking at spider webs but I never venture to close to them. If I happen to, I get that creepy, buggy feeling :)
To bad that your neighbors don't control their dogs💮
These are big fat spiders, like the ones in my windows. I get that creepy feeling too.
DeleteLiving in the country does have its drawbacks ...
I like a foggy day as long as I don't have to drive in it. Every time we walk down our driveway we walk into spider webs, think they'd get the hint and build them somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! They are persistent!
DeleteNice shots Sharon, fog is amazing to look at but a real pain to drive in, I always hated that.
ReplyDeleteI agree that you need a gate for your deck, you shouldn't have to clean up after someone elses dogs, especially after all the work yall have done.
Before the incident, I mentioned a gate. He looked at me as if I'd broken a cog. ;-)
DeleteYou have my sincere condolences on the sleepless night. I hate it when I can't get to sleep.
ReplyDeletePeach cobbler and ice cream...What a treat. Yum.
YOU, have a great one.
I passed out in my chair and slept like the dead until 1:30! Not smart.
DeleteIt was a real treat, home cooking is better. ;-)
Happy foggy poopy morning to you too lol. Lovely shot of the sun trying to break through.
ReplyDeleteThe days are getting shorter. I was getting damp, sitting there waiting for the sun to come up. :/
DeleteI watched the PBS Vietnam Story. I had to wonder if any of the veterans I know would have watched it. My spouse would not have. He was there and knew everything about Vietnam that he wanted to know. He never watched those kind of shows. I did learn a lot and will watch the whole series.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting. I am going to try to watch the whole thing too. DH said he didn't want to watch. He had been too young to be involved. Maybe I have PBSed him to death, haha.
DeleteIt's spider web time here as well, sometimes its difficult to get out of the gate without destroying all of their hard work. I love the mist.

Spiders do seem to be diligent in the keeping of their webs, I wish I could be half that determined. :-)
DeleteOh wow, I like the fog pic... I'll bet you are loving your deck, especially this time of year! Why would a dog want to poop on a deck when he has all that yard?? Very strange... Stay away from those spiders!
ReplyDeleteI think the offending dog was claiming ownership. :-)
DeleteOh CRAP (no pun intended..haha) on the dog that poop on the deck. This is the best time of the yr for the decks! We still have blood suckers on the creek so I love having my deck screened in. Lily loves it too cause she can go out and watch the birds. I love it cause she can go out and enjoy being out since I will not allow her to be an outside cat. Enjoy your deck...
ReplyDeleteWill do, Pam! ;-)
DeleteWell, that's an inconsiderate dog! I kinda like foggy mornings if I don't have to drive in it. Sorry about that Goldenrod. Peach cobbler and ice cream sounds good!
ReplyDeleteOh, there's more than Goldenrod out there, just not in the picture. Our allergy 'index' is on 90.
DeleteYep, dirty, dirty dog!
I love foggy mornings. Even when I'm on the bike. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the world. :-)
DeleteI'm hoping our foggy mornings have gone for a while, they are not the best for driving in. Not a good start to the day. For us dry sunny days are a coming - I hope.
ReplyDeleteWish someone would turn up with a surprise treat for me lol ~ Cathy
Hope you get your sunny days! :-)
DeleteI see the spider webs. I like to see them with dew on them. Sure miss the ranch and the animals.
ReplyDeleteThe dew made them more visible.
DeleteWhat have you been up to lately?
I love the fog picture, and fog when I don't have to drive in it. :)
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteI only like fog if I don't have to go out. I never thought to take pictures of it. You definitely need a gate on your lovely porch.
ReplyDeleteRight!!!
DeleteWe have been having similar levels of fog here. Beautiful and also every Eire thing as well. Peach cobbler sounds wonderful! The Vietnam show... I should watch it, and I used to enjoy that sort of program, but lately I have not. Not sure why.
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of depressing, all that death and destruction ...
DeleteI love the shot of the sun shooting through the trees.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteThat is one incredibly foggy morning. Love the sun breaking through.
ReplyDeleteSigh on the dog poop front.
:-)
DeleteWhere there's golden rod, there's probably ragweed, and where there's ragweed, there's a house nearby with a box of Kleenex in every room.
ReplyDeleteSo true! ;-)
DeleteOh man. Peach cobbler sounds so yummy right now! I'm going to have to make one this weekend. - We finally got some rain, and then more rain, and with it came our cooler temps and this gal right here is one happy gal! Plus! It snowed out here which was fantastic for all of the wildfires. No snow for us down here in the valley but the Almanac says we're in for a doozie!
ReplyDeleteA doozie? I imagine, as this year seems to be the year of weather extremes! Glad it helped with the fires!
DeleteThat is serious fog!
ReplyDeletePeach cobbler sounds good. That's the sort of visitor you want.
I was going to say bad dog but actually it should be Bad Owner!
