A Brief Success!
First observed visitors - 01/21/15 - We moved the feeder next to the fig tree last week, it didn't seem to do more than to keep the birds out of the fig. The feeder is right outside of my womb window. Hard to believe it took a month before I had comers. It is deserted once again, I don't understand. Perhaps there is too much natural food available. Snow would solve the problem, though I do not desire snow just to make my bird watching complete.

oh, but once you've had some, they'll return and bring friends. yay!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Patience.......
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the birds act in cold country but I know we have zillions at our feeders year round. Not the pretty birds some have except we have Cardinals at times. I don't mind, I feed ugly birds too or I should say not colorful birds because there are no ugly birds.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will come, maybe in the spring. When they are busy getting good for their babies
ReplyDeleteJust wait, they'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends... :-) And you might get that non-wish for snow. We're supposed to have some over the weekend, and I think it's coming your way too.
ReplyDeleteWe've had crows showing up every morning, lots of them. They try to land on the feeders and knock the seed out onto the ground. I've had bird feeders for year and have never seen this before. And I thought the squirrels were bad.
