Bit of a surprise

Thought I saw something, and ...

I'll be hanged, that puny little thing has blossomed, I didn't notice it until this afternoon, it's so small. Ignore the bs (bird stuff)

  2. It's trying it's best. In answer to your question about the pony farm. They are not sure if they will sell it after fixing it all up or if it will be a week-end get away.

    1. I'm thinking it won't make seed, it will break off that spindly stem first.

The pony barn would make a great 'get away'!

  3. Awww, it's a sweet little flower! Mine started off with a few puny ones and each year the area got larger and larger and now I am sunflowered out! We have had so much rain here in upstate New York that everything got a slow start but I have hopes that it will pick up soon and I will have the garden of my dreams....maybe!

    1. Here's hoping everyone who had a slow start can catch up.

I take it that you are a bird feeder also. :D

    1. It certainly is, Terri! I wonder how long it can hang on without getting broken or bombed.

  5. I have grown them on purpose, never really watched them.
This one was such a surprise.
Oh, BTW, can you just imagine my whole yard this deep? It would be if we let it go.
I will not be putting my hand in that growth any time soon, LOL!
