Friday the thirteenth

It's almost the middle of May already. Time is moving so fast now, I almost long for the days that used to stretch on endlessly when I was a kid during a long, hot summer. I noticed where the sun rose this morning and realized that in another short month or so, the sun would be preparing to track from a different part of the horizon again.

I don't think that I'm all that superstitious, after all, I own a black cat and she crosses my path daily. Somehow, I feel a tad more aware that something bad could happen today. Silly, right?

DH came home and left again about twelve hours later. Jill has finally gotten over her snit and is eating again. Both dogs were up at the crack of 'Go back to sleep, it's not even dawn yet!' Naturally, I let them out and they are back in their beds - and I have been up reading for two hours already. I'll need a nap for sure.

My next installment of Weeds will be here today. I swear, it's worse than reading a book series, and a whole lot more expensive! I am going to have to budget myself, ordering DVDs is a lot more money going down the tubes than my book habit. I don't think I will get another series, unless I can get the complete series at a reasonable price! I watched The Dead Zone to the end after I ordered the final year, but the rest of the DVDs were my son's. DH is going to be sorry he bought me the TV with the player inside.

I'm sure everyone is ramping up for a busy weekend. Have a good one!

  1. The fact that it is Friday the 13th means nothing to me.

  3. I have never seen an episode of Weeds although my son watched a season while visiting here last fall. I guess he picked it up ON DEMAND or on Netflix. I have those but rarely use either of them . I think the premise of Weeds sounds interesting, perhaps at some point I will try to watch.

As for time moving faster. SO true. Summers as a kid lasted forever, now seasons travel at lightening speed.

    Have a great weekend!!

    1. My 'Weeds' came already, have already watched an episode. :-)
I went ahead and ordered the rest of the seasons and have made a solemn vow not to get hooked into another series unless I can borrow them or they are dirt cheap. :-)

  4. I keep thinking I should sign up for Netflix or something like it but I'm just not a TV or movie person. Not sure why but I never turn on the TV. Keep thinking I will, perhaps there's hope.

    1. I don't like TV (as in to sit and watch it - that makes me nuts) I always record and watch later, skipping through the commercials, weird singing, and loudmouths. Some days there is nothing on worth recording ...

  5. While you're watching Weeds, I'm cutting mine. No, no, not that kind of Weed, just the regular garden kind. California BIG Weeds. Phew, up a dawn, outside while it's still cool, in now for a break. I loved the first couple of seasons of Weeds, then I lost interest or didn't have the channel any longer.

    1. I'm trying to stretch out the time on this latest DVD, so I am not drumming my fingernails waiting for more to show up. Your weeds were getting pretty deep. Your farmer didn't show up with a bush hog? Take it easy out there!

  6. Didn't even realize it is Friday the 13th until I read it here. Not planning anything for the week-end but getting ready to go to my blood doctor on Monday. Hope he can help me with some weak spells I'm having.

    1. I hope your doctor can figure out what's going on with you. Maybe your body is telling you to rest. It would be a good thing for the weekend ...

  7. Friday the 13th was a non event here. Usually is. I love spending money on DVDs. Becuase you then have them forever and can watch them agian and again. Give it 12 months and you will be rewatching something. I guarantee it. Have a nice nana nap when you can xx

    1. Lol, I am one of those people who hates spending money, call me frugal, cheap, whatever. I seldom watch a movie more than once with exception to the very old classics. Loved my nap!

    1. I don't know anyone who has personally been injured on the 13th, do you? Hmm, I wonder if Freddy started this or if it's an ancient thing?

  9. Just a normal day as the others I guess. Warm greetings and best wishes!
