The temperature is 41 and that's our high ... The dogs are already hiding, too gloomy out there, I guess.
I found the Tiny Tim seeds and put them in. These are 3 days out of the ground. I hate when the seed husk stays on the end, I have this overwhelming urge to pull it off. Haha. I have more seeds, if one of these doesn't make it. I don't always have the best luck ...
I started watching Battlestar Galactica. I had never watched the series. Not sure how I feel about it - I just started the second disc. DH sold a bracelet for me, so I can do some guilt-free shopping. I ordered 3 DVDs with British movies, Heehee. When I have finished Battlestar, I also have Buck Rogers and I thought I had to break that up a little with some levity and romance, you know?
Son sent me a story in an email, the other night. I tried my darnedest, but the words just weren't making sense. It may as well have been written in hieroglyphics. I was over-tired and I had a headache. It seemed like I was trying to read some foreign language. It kind of scared me. In the morning, I tried again, and it was fine - a decent story. I have noticed this phenomenon happening more and more. (BTW, I had to play with phenomenon multiple times to get it right. To think how I used to pride myself on my spelling - Pride has bit me in the butt)
I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
The older I get the harder it is for me to read and make sense of things when I'm tired.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow in our forecast, too. I wish it would just quit!!!!!!
What will Tiny Tim seeds turn out to be? Tomatoes? We can't plant in the ground this early but you're reminding me that I should start some in the house.
I have never felt so dyslexic ...
DeleteTiny Tim - cherry tomatoes! Supposedly 60 days after it comes out, I somehow do not believe ...
60 days if the weather is warm enough. Yours may take a little longer.
DeleteI have it under a grow light, River, but my room feels cool.
DeleteWe are in a spell of cold. Especially the nights, which are very cold. And snow is due, next week. Ahhhhh wellll.... It's March.
ReplyDelete"phenomenon" When I need a word like that, I open another screen and search for the correct spelling. I have never been good at spelling. And I'm certainly not going to improve now. -grin-
Do kids today, even learn spelling???? What with everyone using a techy device and having spell checker on so many..... And texting certainly doesn't need correct spelling. I wonder if they do even learn it????????
I am off the computer, before the sun goes down. I "run down" and droop, like a flower in the garden. And it gets "dangerous" to be on the computer, when I am getting tired!!!!!!! LOL
I don't know about kids these days - My first batch learned phonics in school, the youngest learned it when I home schooled him. That's a couple decades ago. No idea about grandkids. I use spell check a lot now, I didn't need it 7-8 years ago.
DeleteYep....second wave on its way. I heard when I was out today that it is said to start snowing this evening and snow all night here in Nashville. Where are you located? Jackson? You guys usually get hit long before we do.
ReplyDeleteWe won't get much - I thought I heard something on the window, but I don't see anything yet. I'm between Collinwood and the AL border.
DeleteHope the snow misses you, too late in the year for that to be going on.
ReplyDeleteI think, if anything, it will just be a dusting. Cold already, already freezing.
DeleteThanks for the visit!
I always think of Nashville being in the south, so what are you doing getting snow? Climate change? Concentration not as easy when we're tired, even when I was younger -- took longer. My spelling going to pot I think because it's easier to just let spell checker do it all.
ReplyDeleteNashville gets snow. In Middle TN we get the whole mess - snow and ice.
DeleteWe just sound 'southern' hahahaha!
I'm glad you dodged the snow-bullet. I'm hoping we don't. I want a snow-day at home!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI share your feelings about Battle star Galactica.
I don't see any snow yet, maybe it missed us. Awfully chilly though.
DeleteWe only had one real cold spell and it lasted only one or two nights. Now we're in a rain mode and loving it. We know the big bad summer will be here soon.
ReplyDeleteOur temps have been all over this winter. Knock on wood - we haven't had any ice.
DeleteYour son is a writer? I hope you don't get the snow, you all must be sick of it by now.
ReplyDeleteMy son can write, but doesn't. This was something he wanted me to read.
DeleteIt's only our second snow, so no biggie. I worry more about unsnow - er - ice.
It must have been scary trying to read and unable to. I hope the experience has passed.
ReplyDeleteI don't read much anymore, because of lack of comprehension. This was a whole different animal ... and scary. Yes, fine now.
DeleteRain and rain here all afternoon on the 11th
ReplyDeleteWe got our snow in the night.
DeleteMy brother LOVES Battlestar Galactica.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about reading not making sense when you're tired. It seems like all my functions drop a scale when I'm tired or not feeling well. And it is scary.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend:)
I'm not really into it much yet, I do like the gal that plays 'the President.'
DeleteBeautiful day today, after the snow. ;-)
I know that spelling feeling! I blame my fingers usually for mistyping but sometimes I just don't know!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Have blamed my keyboard, on occasion. :-)
