Take some time ...

Summer is upon us, yippee! I do hope you all are enjoying a wonderful three day holiday.

I also hope you will take some time this weekend to remember those who have served for us and died for our great country. Tell their stories around your campfires and on the front porch while you drink your lemonade. While you're at it, pray for those who are in our services now - that their work and sacrifices will not be in vain. Pray for our country. With elections ahead, I think we are in deep bleep.

My two cents ...

  1. Deep bleep is the best description I've heard for the coming elections. I'm not nearly so worried about God destroying our country as I am about us destroying it ourselves.

    1. I'm not worried about God destroying our country, we seem to be well on our way without any help.

  2. Deep bleep, indeed. We are in a frightening time but I remain hopeful that in some way, some how, as a country we will get back on track.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend, as well.

    1. We are having super weather for outdoor activities, a bit too warm so water should be involved. I need to drag out the hose, lol!

  4. A nice thoughtful entry. I agree while we are planning our fun we should not forget the reason.

  6. Yep, it sounds like we have a Deep Bleep consensus here... And yes, I like to think a bit of time for respect would not be amiss, I have the flag out, at least...

  8. "Deep Bleep" is a really nice way to put it SJQ! I remember, honor, memorialize my (personal) war heroes every single day of the year. And their comrades in arms who continue to put their lives on the line, for us, every single day of the year. I thank them and hope it is enough.

  9. Deep Bleep is putting it mildly. We've been in trouble a good long time now and the future is not looking any better.
