Saturday

Not exactly sure how it got to be Saturday, but here it is. I am surprised , but have not caught a mouse in 1 1/2 days. Could it be that we have them all, or did they go back outside because of the warmer temperatures? It's near 70F again today. Seems most of us are having a January Thaw and better.

I've been caught up in my DVDs. Currently watching Scandal, I only have the first two seasons. I watched the first season of House of Cards and not sure if I want to buy any more. They are both about corruption in the White House. I still have the complete collection of Damages and that one sounds like lawyers and scandals. Am trying to stay off my feet, as my legs and feet are being more problematic, it helps.

It's a gorgeous day today. It has been warmer than normal, but damp, rainy, foggy, and pretty much yucky, until today. It's most likely going to get cold again.  Normal winter pattern in these parts. Warm equals dismal and cold equals bright and sunny. Is nice to see the sun for a change!

DH took Brad out for a drive, it's been too long. His brakes went out, so it's in the shop. (So far only one mouse has been caught in the garage, yay!) He took Charlotte for a spin, too. Wish I could drive, think I might like her. With him working nights, he hasn't got the time or energy to mess with his toys.

  1. I'm sure they have taken a day or two out of the week! Yes they seem to be going so quick
The temps here have lost that blistering heat. Thanks goodness.
More gardening today. Hope to get it all done by the start of the real cold season. So then I can sit inside and admire it
Hope you find something worthwhile to watch and get you hooked again xx

  3. It's really warm here in south Texas today. It was foggy as pea soup in the middle of the night.

  4. Are Charlotte and Brad the names of your cars? (I'm a new "follower.") I thought ""House of Cards" went downhill after the first year. We've enjoyed "Poldark," "Justified," and "Breaking Bad." Also "The Wire." It takes place in Baltimore, so it was fun seeing familiar places. Enjoying "Victoria" now (PBS).

    1. Charlotte is his red 1962 Mercury Comet and Brad is his 1941 Dodge Deluxe.
I guess I will not be in any hurry for "House of Cards." Thanks!

  6. I'm sorry you have mice issues! I had one a while back, my BIL finally got the rascal in a mousetrap he placed behind the fridge. A lot of snow melted today and some of the pictures were from an earlier storm, but we have had a lot and so much rain too. Which we need, so all is good, except all the mud.

    1. Overcast skies can be so depressing in the winter. Jack and I enjoyed the sun today. I hope you get some soon.

  8. Nice to see a bit of sun even though it's still winter there. We have a lot of sun through our winters. I like the image of Jack dozing in the sun.

    1. The sun only shines in here on the bed in the winter - the only good thing about winter, ha ha.

  9. Up here we are having it mild too. Global warming is real. It has been coming for a long time. The mice are back in their fav places. And sunshine here would be nice. Have you tried MSM to get some relief in legs and feet? Mobility is important to keep blood flow healthy. Sometimes moving can make the pain better. Do you truly enjoy all those DVD's? I went through a spell and figured out I was just being duped by media to spend money and get hooked. I use my tablet now and am way more selective.

One on my sons gave me all the DVDs, and I have enjoyed most of them. I try to stay away from media. :-)

  10. I heard on the news this evening about the dicey weather in your direction - Hope all is well, and you're not getting blown or washed away!

Those mice can be pretty tricky, just when you think they're gone, they've moved back in! :-)

  11. The weather is better now.
Yep, mouse sightings again, and they are so smart!

  12. Perhaps you caught all the mice and don't realise it.... we can hope, can't we! I am envious of your weather, UKs current cold spell is the coldest we've had for a long time. I just can't seem to keep warm.

    1. Have a couple more and the sly devils know about the traps. Back to square one.
Forecast says we are back to normal temps for a while, we'll see frost again and hopefully nothing else. The sun is shining!
