They don't get out much

DH finally had a chance to get Jack and Jill to the vet for their annual check-ups. They were so excited when I put their harnesses on and could hardly contain themselves.

They practically dragged him out to the car. "We're going for a ride, we're going bye-bye!" DH told me they were not willing to go inside, once they saw their destination.
Jack has lost a little, he's back to his best weight at 20#, Jill is still holding at 35#.
Foggy day, the 'kids' couldn't tell, right away, where they were going.
A Mr. Jingles came by last night. I hope the seeds swelled up and gave the little brat a belly ache! He hadn't touched this in a month, why last night?

  1. A dog never forgets where the Vet lives, or more likely what his place smells like.

  2. My fur babies always look at me like I've betrayed them in the worst way as soon as they see where we are lol

  3. We have been lucky to have a vet who Lucy loves...she really doesn't mind going.

  4. Isn't it amazing how smart dogs are? I no longer have any but my daughter has two.

  6. Who knows why Mr Jingles chose last night for the seeds? Mice are as contrary as people when it comes to sudden food preferences.
Big smiles at the dogs, "we're going for a ride bye bye" and isn't it funny how they drag their feet at the door to the vet?

  7. Vet visits are always so costly now. My cat cooperates. She's a rescued one and seems to be glad vets took care of her injuries. She cannot jump very high so we have to ensure she's safe in the garden.
No fog here. Just low temps.

    1. It does cost a lot today to have pets. I still get sticker shock when I see the receipt.
Fog again this morning, at least it didn't freeze, the roads would be more dangerous.

  8. Gracie is like that too, she can't wait to go but turns around to leave as soon as she gets there. Mr Jingles!! Oh my, you are in big trouble mister!!

    1. I'm wondering if it is the building or perhaps the smell when the door to the vet's office opens. They surely remember something and don't want anything to do with it.

  9. One of the many differences between cats and dogs is their eagerness to get in a car (or not). My sweet Chantel wails the most pitiful meow at the sight of a car. BUT...seems both species agree that Vets aren't fun.
