Long day

It has taken me all day to get at this. I do apologize. I (ahem) planned on doing my pictures and Wordless Wednesday thing. You know, all pink and light and fluffy. I didn't make it. I have been trying to find my jool tool bag. There is just a narrow path from the door to my comp chair now that I have emptied more stuff out of that closet. I'm too tired to re-stack and re-pack all that stuff. I cannot locate the jool tool bag! It had my bead stringing stuff, rhinestone stud setter, pliers, jewelry findings etc. in it. Not a real bag, more like a laptop carrying case. It doesn't appear to be in the closet where I thought I put it. If I can move tomorrow, I will put all this stuff back into the closet (maybe throw some of these clothes out) and pull everything out from under the bed to see if it's under there. If not? I'll have to order a few things for now.

I started making a little name tag thing for Jack's ash box out of letter beads. No way to hold it together nicely right now. I need that tool bag.

It has been a week, hasn't it? Texas is in peril, Louisiana is in trouble. The West Coast is on fire. India lost so many from the monsoon. Bad things going on, the whole thing is scary. Wondering if we need a shelter for tornadoes or bombs. It all just feels like overlap overload. (And my problems are absolutely nothing compared to any of it.)

  1. Oh Sharon I feel for you - your mind (and body) seems to be going round in circles. Might be time to drag a chair out on the back deck and breathe in some fresh air.

  2. I am feeling very sorry for all the weather troubles you are having over there, Mumbai in India is flooded too.
Good that you are sorting out your closet, but where could that tool bag be hiding?
I need to sort out my neighbour's flat, because there will be an assessment to see if she is capable of managing at home, with a Home Care Team, once she gets out of hospital. She's got stuff spread around a bit.

  3. Things can get a bit overwhelming sometimes that's why I have my wall. It works for me, give it a try. I feel for those poor people in the floods, can't begin to imagine what it must be like to have to leave your home.

    1. I've used your wall. I should use a literal one too and just heave every thing over for the garbage man.
No, cannot imagine just wading away, leaving all I had worked for behind.

  4. I am so forgetful these days. I lost a small stool yesterday. Guess it will turn up eventually! When I hear all the bad news I thank God for looking after me. I would be interested to know about the wall Crafty Cat Corner referred to.

    1. Briony's wall is imaginary, but useful. She throws the stressers in life over the wall, as best she can. ;-)

  5. I lose things all the times, have even bought replacements only to find my original later on when I'm not looking. It also seems like when I donate something, I need it two weeks later.

Feel better, Sharon. Pacing yourself sure helps as you know.

    1. That's some kind of rule isn't it? Happens to us all the time. Ha Ha.

  6. I do the same thing, I look all over the place for something that I know should be right where it always is... Then halfway into it I sometimes even forget what I'm looking for.

I agree our problems do seem minor compared to things going on all around us.

  8. My heart goes out to all those who are in need of comfort and comforts right now! Nature can be so beautiful and then do a complete turn around and remind us of how devastating and ugly it can be.

I am always putting things away so that I can remember where something is the next time that I need it. NOT!!!

Hopefully this world of ours will calm down soon and peaceful conditions will prevail once more 💮

    1. It is hard for me to imagine having nothing but what I'm wearing, for the unknown future.

The uncertainty of day to day is getting worse.

  12. I hope you find your tool bag. I know exactly how that feels to lose something when you need it right now. Drives me bonkers. - This flooding all around the globe.. What the heck is going on? It's super scary and yet here we are in a drought roasting everyday. But ya' know what? No complaints because no matter how I may fuss, I still have my family, a home and my belongings.. I can't imagine what those people must be going thru.

    1. Nope, slept most of the day. I hope to continue my search tomorrow.
I try to imagine, but I can't. Some have just the clothes on their backs and no idea, if/when they will be able to go home.

  15. We were very lucky, just a little wind and rain. At first it seemed to be coming this way so we prepared with water, batteries, etc. Our local news from san Antonio is sill nothing but sadness from the towns and cities that were hit. I'm proud of our town for providing a shelter and sending lots of supplies to where need be.
