Meet the Devil. Whoever invented this hateful device needs to be tarred and feathered. It is beyond me, how people can almost worship these things by messing with them instead of caring for their children, watching where they are walking or driving, or paying attention to what is happening in the real world.
I needed a new phone and this demon is what DH brought home. My guide book has 162 pages of things that I can hardly understand or remember from one page to the next. I frustrated over it for hours and hours. I was so exhausted that I slept for 10 hours straight when I gave up last night. DH says I am stuck with it and tells me to 'play' with it. I have no desire ...
So far, I have learned how to make the screen stay on long enough for me to see what the bleep was on it. I also know that holding it is very uncomfortable when talking. What a cruddy design for a phone. I hope by the time I write my next post that It hasn't sailed out the window or - let's just say, I don't look good in orange.

Tomato, again, sorry ...
You have to forgive me for harping on my tomato plant. For the last 10 days or so, I feel as if I had the stuffing knocked out of me. There is nothing new really happening - I planned on making a 5 gallon bucket mouse trap, because Ruth said hers worked so well. I got as far as getting the supplies together, and then I went to bed. Sigh ...
I did massacre 'Tom' and I couldn't figure out how much foliage to keep to feed the plant sunshine and the grow light. It is sitting in my bedroom and I didn't want it to look like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree.
From first blossoms to now. (A month) Tomato watching is getting pretty boring. I want them to fill out and get ripe already! I wonder if it's taking so long because I'm watching it or if it just takes this long and I was busy with other things before.
Nothing else to report. I'm glad that I got to see my oldest boy and take a couple pictures, but the whole thing was just too sad. Looking at his picture, I see my dad. He's the only one of my kids with his features, I guess that's kind of nice. None of the grandkids look like him, and there's a bunch of them. I never thought about it before.
Bought new ink to make some Christmas cards and postal labels - new ink cartridge is not being accepted by the bleep printer. I don't understand it, same brand, same everything, but the printer doesn't think so and just sits there acting ugly. It's a HP printer. I messed with it 2 days before throwing up my hands in surrender. Bleep technology! Takes the fun out of my plans ...
Guess I came back from my break too soon. If I don't see you before then, have a nice Thanksgiving!

Little Shop of Horrors
So, okay, yesterday, I hacked off some of the leaf fronds to ease up on the weight, it wasn't enough. Tom is getting too big. It's listing and I fear for my plant. On one hand, I consider hacking off the top half to let the tomatoes that are present grow up and ripen - On the other hand, I'm greedy and want to see more of those blossoms turn into tomatoes. What to do? You can see some of my Grandma Engineering - pony tail bands turned bungee cords to support to chair and curtain rod. It is not enough. DH suggested cutting a hole in the seat of the chair for the pot and 2x4's attached to the chair seat to trellis the rapidly growing plant. I looked for a cheap set-up on Amazon. I really don't want a broken chair (and it would be) and 2x4's in my bedroom - no matter how bad I want those BLTs!
I would ask you what you would do in my situation, but I believe you wouldn't even do such a thing in your bedroom. Am I wrong?

DH has a really BAD day.
I think my luck has finally rubbed off on DH. Except for times he had an accident ... I believe today HAD to be one of his worse possible days.
He started the day out normally, quietly let the dogs out and got ready for work. I slept through as I usually do. When he was pulling into work, he had a flat tire. He punched in and tried to take the tire off. When he bought the new tires, they put new nuts on that didn't match his wrench. One of the guys had a wrench to fit and they got it off. His friend helped him get air in the tire and they went to work.
When he left early to take the broken lawn mower to the shop, he had a flat tire - it blew the side right out. Change the tire and hurry home to make it to the mower repair shop with the truck. Arrives home and has to hurry so the guy doesn't leave before he drops the mower off. Has to stop for gas on the way home. He opens the gas cover and is attacked by a swarm of wasps. Picks up Benadryl. Comes home and his hand is swelling, 10 minutes later, his wrist is swelling. I tell him to drive to the clinic before they close, he'll need a shot.
He takes the other car because he doesn't trust the spare. He gets all the way to the end of the driveway and turns around. The Buick has a flat! He chances it with his car and makes it to the clinic in time for a couple of shots and some pills.
He's home again, is taking the day off tomorrow - to calm down and buy new tires for both cars. He is not a happy camper. We are trying to figure out what the deal is with the tires - there is no wire in the yard, but there was wire in the tires ... We don't drive on bad tires.
Well, he's curled up in his recliner with a swollen arm. He deserves a day off, that's for sure!
Oh, my convertible had a flat tire over the weekend. It has a slow leak and hadn't been anywhere. He's getting it ready to donate - they can fix the rim or whatever ...
