Date with a scary old lady...

I don't know how they took such good pictures for their listing. I decided not to go upstairs when I saw the treads were split and someone had broken through about half way up. The house was a real nightmare. I had been given the impression that the work inside was well underway. It wasn't. The inside killed any thought of a tea room or B&B... as soon as we walked into the foyer. Ah... a girl has to dream, but the reality of it was too much! She must have been beautiful at some point, it's just too bad they let her go too long.

  2. Yep, I'll bet it was a beauty at one time. Too bad... No pictures inside? I wish I was there, house hunting with you. I love going through houses... old and new! Okay... ready for the next one...

  4. I did take a load of pictures - until I was going up the stairs. That was enough. My wifi is overboard. I have to be careful how much I post right now.

  5. What a grand looking place that must have been! It would take a fortune to fix that one up.

  7. I do love the character and history of the old homes, but it does take a lot of money and resources to uncover and restore their beauty. Onto the next one--Your new home is out there, I just know it!!
